I wonder if there is such a thing as OA GS press: resting the elbow on the iliac crest and done in pacing manner.

No "official" contest, but it is a great shoulder workout- especially if you are in a strength phase and trying to separate upper & lower body workouts.
Absolutely true. The reason I did presses was because my legs were done and I didn't want to finish them off completely. I think these presses are also useful as endurance/pacing/patience exercise too.
